I’ve made a start on a new portrait on self identity. This one is a charcoal portrait of my mother, to go alongside the portrait of my father.

Some portraits seem like an uphill struggle. I’ve been working on this one for a few days; using Nitram Charcoal, charcoal pencils and pastels. It’s a slow process but I’m getting there… Wish me luck
